Recycling

The City contracts with Walters Recycling & Refuse t to provide curbside recycling. Curbside recycling is collected every other Wednesday, based on whether you live on the north side of 81st Avenue or the south side of 81st Avenue. Your cart must be at the curb by 6:00 AM on your recycling day and will be picked up no later than 6:00 PM. Holidays will move your recycle day back one day if the holiday falls on your recycling day. 

Upon request, damaged and lost carts will be replaced at no charge. Residents with a temporary or permanent disability can request walk-up service. 

What can be Recycled?

• Plastic bottles and containers, including lids and caps (best if left on)
• Paper (newspaper, telephone books, mixed paper) and cardboard boxes
• Box-board from dry goods (non-refrigerated items)
• Paper cartons from juice and milk
• Glass bottles and jars
• Metal cans​

All recyclable items should be placed loosely in the cart.

Organics Drop-off Center

• Organics Drop-off still OPEN (Place in provided container) 
• Please pick up bags or a starter kit from City Hall M-F 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
