Robert (Bob) Nelson

Robert (“Bob”) Nelson serves as Mayor of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, bringing more than two decades of local government experience to the role. A lifelong resident of Spring Lake Park, he has deep roots in the city and has served both as mayor and as a member of the City Council. Over the years, he has also been actively involved in numerous regional and local organizations, including the North Metro Mayors Association, Minnesota Mayors Association, Joint Law Enforcement Committee, Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, North Metro Cable Commission, and the Spring Lake Park Planning Commission.

Mayor Nelson and his wife, Tammy, have been married for over 40 years and have raised two sons, along with a growing family of grandchildren. His long-standing commitment to public service has focused on maintaining Spring Lake Park as a safe, well-managed, and fiscally responsible community.
