City Seeks Proposals for Professional Auditing Services

The City of Spring Lake Park is requesting proposals from qualified certified public accounting firms to provide independent annual auditing services beginning with the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026.

The City anticipates an initial five-year engagement covering fiscal years 2026 through 2030, with the option to extend the engagement for up to five additional one-year periods through fiscal year 2035. The City is seeking a firm with strong Minnesota local-government audit experience, a qualified and stable engagement team, a practical audit approach, responsive communication, and the ability to complete the annual audit on a timely basis.

The scope of services includes the City's annual financial statement audit; Government Auditing Standards and Minnesota legal compliance reporting; preparation of the City's annual financial statement report; assistance with required Minnesota Office of the State Auditor reporting; presentation of audit results to the City Council; and, when required, Single Audit services.

Proposals due: Friday, October 16, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. Central Time

Interviews, if necessary: Week of November 2, 2026
