Backroads & River Bends Tour – Highlights
Embark on a four-day getaway filled with scenery, history, and small-town charm!
- Day 1 – Eagles & Easy Travel
Journey to La Crosse with relaxing rest stops along the way. Enjoy an unforgettable visit to the National Eagle Center, then settle in for three nights at the same comfortable hotel.
- Day 2 – Amish Country & Underground Wonders
After breakfast, travel to Harmony, MN for an authentic look at Amish life, followed by a delicious lunch at the Branding Iron Restaurant. Explore the cool, 48-degree depths of Niagara Cave, then hunt for treasures at a local antique mall.
- Day 3 – Owls, River Views & Artful Stonework
Kick off the morning at the National Owl Center, then head to Winona for the Maritime Center, snacks, and shopping. Cross into Fountain City to wander the inspiring Kinstone Sculpture Garden, and return to La Crosse for a scenic riverboat cruise.
- Day 4 – Trolleys, History & Homeward Bound
Wrap up your adventure with a La Crosse trolley tour, a guided visit inside the historic Hixon House, and then sit back and relax on the journey home.

- Triple: $975*
*Please expect 2 double beds in triple rooms.
Cancellation Policy
Trips are fully refundable through the Spring Lake Park Recreation Department up to the registration deadline: April 10, 2026. After this deadline, participants should refer to their optional travel protection plan for coverage and reimbursement options.
