Park Regulations and Policies
- Park Hours: 96.01(A) City parks are open to the public between the hours of 5:00 am and 10:00 pm.
- Pets: Ordinance 92.01(A1) No person shall allow an animal to run at large within the city. (A3) Animals may be allowed off their premises as long as they are on a leash. (E) No person shall allow an animal under his or her control to defecate in city parks or public land without picking it up and disposing of it in a sanitary manner.
- Motorized vehicles in city parks: Use of motorized vehicles are restricted to roadways and parking lots. 96.01 (B) No overnight parking of a vehicle between the hours of 10:00 pm and 5:00 am is allowed.
- Tobacco use. All city parks are tobacco free. Tobacco Free Policy
- Alcohol consumption: 11.08.010 (E). No person shall consume or possess intoxicating liquor or 3.2% malt liquor in any city park, unless specifically approved by the city council or as permitted during a special event. This prohibition shall include parking areas connected with the park.
- Due to health concerns feeding the wildlife is discouraged. Keep wildlife wild.
- The Skate Park Rules must be adhered to for the safety of all participants.
- Water craft. 96.22 (B) The use of motorboats within the city is prohibited.
- Snowmobiles. 70.46 (A) Snowmobiles may not be operated upon or within any city park of the city.
- No charcoal fires except in designated park which currently is only Lakeside Lions Park
